After many years of nursing, Fiona wanted to make something joyful, comforting, and delicious to share. In 2026, Baked Comforts began in her home kitchen with a mixing bowl, familiar recipes, and plenty of care. It is a small beginning with a simple idea: good food can brighten an ordinary day.
How it began
Fiona began with fresh cookie batches for neighbors, friends, and family. Every week, each batch is mixed, baked, and packed at home before being sent across New Zealand to be enjoyed and shared. There is something special about opening a box that still feels connected to the kitchen where it was made.
What comes next
Cookies are the beginning of Baked Comforts. In the future, Fiona hopes to add more home-baked comfort foods, keeping the same thoughtful, generous spirit in every recipe. The menu can grow gradually, guided by the seasons and by the foods people love to bring to the table.
